Well, no surprises, we've been busy, and stressed. Over the last few weeks, I've been sick, and adjusting to life without heart and migraine medication. We've both been working long hours and Mike's been in trial prep which means working super long hours plus a pro bono case at the same time, and we've continued house hunting in our spare time (which means late Friday nights).
A few things have complicated our life recently as well. First, we found out that the home we're renting is going up for short sale, the owner quit making her payments because she's upside down on the house. That puts a little pressure on the home buying part of things as timing will be tricky. We certainly don't want to have to move into another home to rent before finding something to buy, but don't want to purchase something we don't feel good about either.
Second, the State Board of Examiners who regulates my license as a therapist are a bunch of Nazis, that will come to no surprise to anyone working in the profession that lives in Nevada. The problem - they basically told me they won't 'have time' to review my application to add my new job as an approved site to count my clinical hours for 6-8 months! Bottom line, that means I don't get enough clinical hours at LDS Family Services alone each week. This means potentially picking up a 3rd job in order to get my hours. I'm going to put in an application at a local agency this week.
Third, the Blazer is literally on it's last leg, we've got to start car shopping. The dilemma...to go new or used? Normally we'd buy something used, but many dealerships are offering unbelievable incentives on new cars, hard to decide, and where to find the time to car shop on top of everything else? I like the Toyota Highlander, but it's a bit pricey.

We could really use a break from our daily grind. Luckily we've rented a cabin with some of our very best friends who live in Utah - we haven't seen them for about a year now! We plan to spend a day in both Bryce and Zion, should be beautiful and great to get away. Wish we were tagging along with my little brother - he leaves tomorrow for 1 month in Europe: England, Scotland, France and Italy. My sister in law joins him for the last half of the trip. Have a blast you guys, we'll be thinking of you!

what has your landlord been doing with your money? that's crazy.
Sorry to hear about all the stress! Doesn't the board of whoever know that on top of everything else you are a primary president?? Seriously :) We had a highlander and LOVED it, it was probably my fav car. Good luck with the house hunting hope it all works out.
Seems like you always have so much on your plate. I wish I could give you some energy and strength to borrow or lighten the load! I guess you just need the extra testing cause you already have things so figured out.
Holy smokes. I don't doubt you guys can tackle the upcoming decisions but that doesn't make it any more fun or less stressful. I'm sorry. Bleh. Let us know if there's anything we can do, even if it's just being a listening ear to vent to. :)
sigh. I miss Jeff. About 13 more days. sigh. However, that also means SCHOOL'S OUT! :)
