2008 Christmas Card

In case one didn't find its way to your home this year, here it is.

Happy Holidays from The Gayans! We hope this letter finds you in good health and enjoying the holiday season. This past year has been a busy one for us, the highlight of which was graduating together from UNLV with graduate degrees. It was so nice to have both of our families here to celebrate with us. After graduation, Jenny took two months of vacation and Mike began studying for the Nevada State Bar. Afterwards, we enjoyed a month off together before returning to work. Mike passed the Bar and was officially sworn in to both the federal and state courts in November. He’s enjoying working for a well-respected law firm in town, doing civil litigation. Jenny is working full time as a therapist for a nonprofit agency treating mental health and trauma, and part time as a therapist for LDS Family Services where she works with grief, marriage & family, and children’s issues. We’re also keeping busy at church as Jenny is serving as the Primary president and Mike is the financial clerk. On top of it all, we made time for a few vacations this year and enjoyed seeing family and friends across the country. We spent a week in Washington D.C. with Matt, made it to Utah for our sister-in-law’s BYU graduation, visited Idaho Falls and Spokane, relaxed at Priest Lake after the Bar exam, and spent two weeks in Sweden, & Denmark. We’re currently enjoying house hunting here in Las Vegas, and any free time we have. As we look forward to the New Year, know we’re thinking of you and that we’re so grateful for your friendship. We wish you the very best!
