I've signed an official offer letter of employment with Keep Memory Alive & The Lou Ruvo Brain Institute; the "emerging new leader in cutting-edge research and treatment for brain disorders." It just happens to be here in Las Vegas with the grand opening scheduled for this Spring. Experts from all over the world will be working here for a common cause. Programs will include clinical services, education, public policy forums, and research. I've been asked to develop their social services from the ground up. I wasn't looking to leave my current job as a therapist at FACT, and I'm really quite sad about it; but couldn't pass up this once in a lifetime opportunity. It will definitely be a unique experience, and the work environment will be quite a change; for example, their 'VIP' client base will be met by valet upon arrival, then personally escorted to their destination in the building. Funny. I plan to continue working for LDS Family Services as a part time therapist to keep up on my clinical hours. Check out the building, designed by Frank Gehry; it's pretty crazy. I'm scheduled to start in a few weeks.
