With Valentine's Day coming up this weekend, we're busy finalizing our plans. Usually, we stay in and I prepare a special meal for two (on the menu last year: sparkling cider, caesar salad, lobster ravioli in a white wine sauce, spinach feta bread, and strawberry tiramisu). This year, we're heading to Laguna Beach in CA to enjoy the long weekend. We'll have our special dinner the night before we leave. Here's what's on the menu this year:Petite sirloin steak

As you all know, I love making desserts and goodies, and I think Valentine's Day is the perfect excuse. Unfortunately, I haven't had any spare time to bake treats this year; but just in case you do, here are some of my favorite recipes to make around Valentine's Day.

sounds like a fun weekend! dave and i are getting take out after the kids go to bed and having a candlelight picnic on the family room for while we watch a romantic movie...those desserts sound good, i LOVE making treats, i might try some...
we're going to Costco. Glamorous, Romantic. Nothing says "Valentine" like free samples and a diet coke ;)
