Cleaning Tips?!

A quick update first:
We closed on our house Friday and plan to move in on Saturday. We've got our appliances bought, a color palette chosen, and the painters are scheduled to start Monday and finish Wednesday. We've scheduled deliveries, the piano move, and cable to be installed. We still have a very long and daunting 'To Do List' remaining but I'm sure things will all shake out.

There is one major item however that continues to nag at me in the back of my mind - cleaning the floors in our new home. The entire main floor is ceramic tile and the entire upstairs is real hardwood. In all of our other homes we've had mostly carpet with small tile areas and mopping on your hands and knees with a mop bucket or a combination of vacuuming with wet & dry swiffer has always been sufficient. With the flooring situation in the new house however this is not going to cut it, nor do I have any desire to continue this method on that much flooring. Any ideas? In your experience, what would be the best/most efficient way to clean huge amounts of tile/hardwood while keeping in mind I'll be doing it often?

My latest FAVORITE thing is SWIFFER! Have you tried any of the products yet? Pick up a starter kit for $9.99 with the dry sheets & wet mopping sheets. You use the dry sheets to slide around & pick up all the dust & hair. Then the wet mopping sheets/pads for whenever it needs a wipedown. I can just do this every couple of days (I like the wet mopping better) & it keeps all our floors constantly clean (since that's the way I like in in my house!).

These aren't the best products for deep cleaning, though. You'll still need a broom or quick vac to pick up big crumbs or chunks; and to do a deep wet mopping/scrubbing every once in awhile (especially in the tile grout). But these are fantastic to just keep that day-to-day tidy-ness (and SO easy and fast!).

We have a kitchen vacuum for our tile floors for crumbs/random debris. We have a cool mop from Target for our floors, but we only have real tile in one bathroom and no hardwood floors. I don't know if you need special chemicals or cleaners for those. Good luck! Post your solution!
